I figure I owe it to my friends here
after the B-day wishes from the forum to tell y'all why I ran away a few years ago.
I tried, as a last ditch effort, to grab on to the most masculine thing I could. Which, being Scots-Irish in heritage was the kilt. All of the ones I owned, however, are being converted to ladies wear now.
You see, I'm transgender. And a hell of a lot happier now as a woman than I ever thought was possible when I was trying to be a man.
I still love kilts, and the men in them though. And may try to have a more active presence here again-if welcome- because I still like and want to make kilts for men, and mini-kilts and skirts for the ladies.
Blessed BE,
Narcissa Etain Walker, formerly Charles Walker
BTW, in my middle name, both the "E" and the "i" should have a fada over them. Tough to cope with such things on a phone keyboard.

This is a Forum about Kilts and the Love of Kilts Not gender, as long as you do not make
a big deal about it . I dont see why you would not be welcome.
I think as long as you keep it all about Kilt's you should be fine.
Welcome Back !!!!!!!!!!

Welcome
Welcome Narcissa, from Roseville Ca. I'm glad you were able to get things sorted out, as you well know, many are not so fortunate.
I'm also happy to hear you found some good repurposing for your old kilts We look forward to seeing some of your new handiwork as it comes along.
Regards,
Brooke

To paraphrase ThomasH above - if it's kilted, it's in. Welcome back and congrats on finding some happiness.

Just to echo the sentiments of those who have already answered, I doubt you'll hear a discouraging word!
Welcome back!

Hello Narcissa,
As I get older, I realise that life is not a dress rehearsal. Each and everyone of us has to do, what we have to do, to be happy.
I agree with everything that has been said - provided it's tartan and not that damned ugly 'pink death camo' stuff.
Welcome back.
Regards
Chas
