Yes! It's today! 88th Independence Day of Finland! Big celebrations again. And as a soldier I'm working of course. Already carried the regiment flag when laying flowers on grave of Knight of the Mannerheim Cross nr. 94. SrLtn Toivo Korte. I'll post pictures when I get one.
In Finland independence day is also remembrance day? Would love to see some pictures!
I have always admired the people of Finland, especially after reading "A Frozen Hell" byWilliam Trotter, about the Winter War between Finland and Russia in 1939-1940. For those who are unaware of this conflict, here is a site to peruse: http://www.winterwar.com/mainpage.htm Long may the Finnish Flag wave! Cheers, Todd
That really doesn't look much like your earlier posts. And the "kilt" is too long. David
May the wings of liberty never lose a feather!
Congratulations on Finland's Independence Day. Celebrate in your uniform and then change into the kilt for the real celebration of independence!
Best wishes to our Finnish friends on Independence Day.
A happy Independence Day to our Finish freinds!
May it be a glorious day!
