Job Summary
Reporting to and working closely with the Director, Training and Professional Development, the Corporate Trainer provides on-site and virtual training on variety of topics, including sales, client services, technical, and performance, to size matching station staff and managers as well as corporate Unique Solutions staff and managers. S/he works closely with the Retail Operations unit, including Area Managers, Regional Managers, and Regional Directors in ensuring sustainability of training results and performance after training.
S/he is pro-active in looking for and suggesting responsive solutions to business needs and seizes opportunities for continuous improvement in individual, team, unit and organizational performance.
Specific Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director, Training and Professional Development, meet with appropriate staff and management to identify training needs and develop training and follow-up plans, working closely with manager(s)
Travel on-site to deliver training to station staff in a variety of markets
Utilize appropriate training materials and tools, including facilitation guides, presentations, participant and instructor manuals, reference tools, and web-based materials
Conduct virtual training using web based training platforms and e-learning software
Facilitate Train-the-Trainer training as necessary
Create a positive learning environment and implement effective learning strategies
Evaluate learner reactions and achievement of learning objectives
Conduct follow-up assessments and monitor metrics, working with Regional and/or Area Manager to evaluate training effectiveness
Provide recommendations for future and follow-up training as requested
Track and report on results of training, specifically as they relate to meeting and exceeding KPIs and specific metrics/deliverables
Maintain training files and document observations during training
Attend required meetings with training participants, including but not limited to calls with Area and Regional Managers
Identify trends in performance and proactively design solutions to address/ readdress any training needs, working closely with Director and appropriate managers
Identify ways to improve business, team and individual performance through training/re-training and/or other methods working with Director and appropriate managers
Work with Retail Operations and other necessary departments to maintain the “Retail Resource Center”, including continuously uploading training materials, tools, activities, etc.
Work with business units as necessary to identify and determine training needs and other learning interventions
Contribute to increasing number of scans and reports and “lead generation” in all areas of the company
Act as a “Unique Ambassador” at all times, to reflect the quality of the brand we are building

Desired Skills & Experience
Educational/Training Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Training, Organizational Design, Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Adult Education, or another related field
Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
3-5 years’ experience developing and delivering train the trainer and other training modules in a corporate environment
Experience developing training materials, including train the trainer guides, and writing behavioral learning objectives
Excellent one-on-one and group presentation and facilitation skills
Understanding of adult learning principles and ability to use a variety of learning/training concepts and principles
Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and organize workflow and adhere to timelines

Working Conditions
The Corporate Trainer works out of a home office when stationary.
Frequent and consistent travel across the United States is required to provide on-site training and occasional travel to Canada may be necessary to meet business objectives; passport required.
Frequent and consistent communication with the Director will be expected.
