Kilts are an addiction
When I want to dress nicely
But the dress code is dicey
In highland wear I dabble
I did not know I’d find
That I’m of the same mind
As the worldwide kilted rabble
For now and hence
My wardrobe is bent
Leaning toward the kilt
That’s not to mention
The (ahem!) large collection
Of accoutrements I’ve built
I ought to watch
When I kick up a notch
And dress for an occasion
Like when the rest
Of the party guests
Are of the trousered persuasion
With proper hose
(And no ghillie brogues)
And a bonnet now and then
It’s no work of fiction
Kilts are an addiction
Can’t wait ‘til I kilt up again

Addiction
Nice poetry. I used to read but have mostly dropped the habit.
