Good lord is he! How old is Trigger then?

Yes indeed! I believe Trigger has been stuffed and mounted at the Smithsonian, correct? Thought I heard that somewhere.
Happy Trails...

I believe Roy is riding the happy trails in the sky with Trigger now as he sadly passed away in 1998.
Happy memories nonetheless.

Yup... Roy is long gone, as is Trigger (now stuffed and mounted for display) who is currently touring the USA to promote RFD-TV.

Wonderful! I understand that Roy Rogers and good ole' Trigger were a wee bit before my time, but I am indeed very familiar with them, and certainly appreciate and respect the talent they both possessed.
Cheers,

I wonder if Bullet was stuffed as well? (No doubt there were several "Bullets" over the years, just like Lassie, but I'm not sure.)
Happy trails to yinz!

Ole Roy had a big impact on those of us of a certain age. I just about wore out my mother's platform rocker using the arm for a horse when either Roy or The Love Ranger came on.
It really was a good time to grow up.

The Love Ranger? You obviously received more TV stations than I grew up with (3 stations, four if the wind was blowing the right direction). I had to settle for The Lone Ranger!
And isn't it interesting: We could almost always find something to watch with only 3 or 4 stations...when we weren't outside playing, or doing homework or chores, etc. Now I have cable with 160 channels of "absolutely nothing worth watching"! Go figure.
As a side note to our friends across the pond: As a young fella growing up in the 1960s, I will be eternally grateful to the BBC for importing The Avengers to ABC. ("Mrs. Peel, we're needed!") Dame Diana certainly got the attention of a lot of high school lads! (And it gave me a passion for Steed's taste in clothing and cars.)

That brings back a lot of happy childhood memories of watching Roy and Dale while wearing a little cowgirl skirt, tiny boots, fringed vest and cowgirl hat! No, that was not just last year!
Poor Trigger is on the road again? Happy Trails...
