A little silly quiz for you
OK, without using the Internet to search for the answers
Who can tell me what the following have in common and define them by this common thread?
Rita
Liparus
Thunder Child
Venture
Abraham Lincoln

I'm going to guess they are all names of vessels depicted in classic sci-fi novels; for example, HMS Thunderchild was the torpedo-ram that took on a martian tripod in The War of the Worlds and the Abraham Lincoln was the US warship that was damaged by Nemo in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Liparus is the ship that swallows other ships in "The Spy Who Loved Me" that fits with your contention. Venture is familiar as well, but I'm trying not to cheat.

Todd and Bob are absolutely right, and the connection is Fictional water vessels
But that still leaves two to go, where is Zardoz when you need him?
For those of you more interested in turning your gaze Skyward here are two more lists
Sci Fi fans try to guess the connection and identify these without the Internet!
List 2
Agamemnon
Stargazer
Deathshadow
Valkyrie
List 3
Icarus
Nostromo
Bellerophon
Argos (and Galliott)

If "Serenity" was on one of the lists, I might have a prayer.
