Looking for a piper

In our Engagement Announcement thread I said that we were looking for a piper as our piper was booked for the day that the chapel was available. I was afraid that the piper request would get lost so thought I'd post here. So I ask the rabble is there a piper that would be able to pipe for us on July 25th in Niagara Falls Ontario at 11:00 AM?

If you can't get an Xmarker right away, contacting a local pipe band is probably the most reliable way of hiring a piper. Another set of congratulations, by the way.

Thanks George, I was looking into that as well. I did get in touch with my old pipe instructor unfortunately he is busy already. He did say he would try to get someone in the area to get in touch with me, but I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket.

If you're stuck, there are a few pipers listed on Mr. Nimmo's page. (I went to school with his son and even now refer to him a Mr. Nimmo) I tried the links for the pipers in Ontario, and they all seem to work. He also has a list of piping associations and many pipe bands listed on his site. There's bound to be someone free on your wedding day somewhere in there.

Glen, I replied in your other piper thread ... let me see if I can get this to paste properly -

Glen, have you tried John (Scoutniagara)? He is a piper, and he may be available.
If he isn't, there are the Niagara Regional Police Pipe Band (Niagara Falls) and the Braemar Pipe Band (St. Catharines) on your side of the river. If that fails, get hold of the Buffalo Caledonian Pipes and Drums - hopefully someone will be available.
