    MBHandy's Hat.

A custom job, done to match a saffron stillwater kilt.

I really like this hat. It has style and great colour. It is going to be painful to let go.

I like the pom pom on this one. I made it a bit larger than usual.

Very, very nice. I think it would compliment the saffron kilt nicely! Excellent work!

Oh, if anybody else wants a saffron bonnet, or a blended colour like this one, contact me. It can be done. I have what seems to be a fairly close match to the stillwater saffron colour.

I really liked the tight spiral one. That would look great in the saffron.

    Boy Dreadbelly,

You got me to thinkin' for sure. Some of the trading posts out here carry wool yarn in natural dyed colors, sort of like weathered tartan colors, rather than the brighter store bought dyed yarns.

So, if I wanted one made up from them Navajo dyed colors and sent you the yarn how much yarn would you need total about for a 7 5/8 noggin?

Tell me it ain't almost 2007 when a 62yo White guy goes to a remote trading post kilted to buy Navajo dyed yarn to have a hat made up to match his tartan.

    Do "rednecks" giggle...?

I can drop upwards of 300 yards of material in to a hat easy. Depends on the hat though. Some are less, some are more.

And I don't have a clue as to hatband sizes... I use inches. And I make everything about an inch smaller than listed so it is snug but not to snug to stay on your head.

I am about to embark on a new prototype design in a spiral pattern.
