Microsft Smell chequer...
Just sent an email about a session I'm running next week for St Andrew's for our Cub pack, and BOY! Am I glad i don't trust the spell checker!
I asked our Akela to bring some wellies to sue as 'hammers' for a mini highland games and it tried to change it to 'willies'!
So:
- Caber toss - pipe lagging
- Putting the shot - soft balls
- Hammer - .........

That is an EXCELLENT idea! Sorry, I am at a loss for an idea to use as a hammer. I just wanted to say I really like that idea...

I'm surprised the spellchecker didn't change it to "attorneys to sue"

Sorry, meant 'use' - brain can spell - fingers can't...

Re: Microsft Smell chequer...
What about a couple of actual sledge hammers (5-10 pounders) to use as the hammers?

Spell checkers only check to see if a word is spelled correctly - they do not check if it was the correct word to use.

If you ever get bored while working at the computer, try typing in random names from the Old Testament and hit spell check. ("Melchizedek" comes to mind as an especially entertaining example.) I keep waiting for the day I see smoke rising from the back of the computer.

Funny and relevant. The other IT engineer on my team sent out an e-mail to our group yesterday with the title "Out dick". The message was "I'm really feeling bad and will work from home today, until I can get to the doctor."
Best part, he didn't realize it until we brought it to his attention. Priceless response ensued.

Yeah, seen that sort before. But the mind boggles at the possibilities
And until they started giving you the option to rotate through spelling possibilities on mobile phones, it used to give me grief.
A young lady friend of mine used to introduce me as her pet amorous vampire. I never got it until she showed me a text I'd sent her saying "Do you want to meet for a neck?" when I thought I'd said "Do you want to meet for a meal?"...
