ID:	26274The photo on the left, is of a Welsh castle (I've never been to, I liked the look, and this etched art). The right one is a close-up of my crest. Does anybody else like or own the metal etched art, like what I have? I'd like to find more, of burials, if they exist. Would also like to find Scottish castle scenes, in this style. I've seen a few on Ebay.

    My apologies

I should have rotated the photos, so you wouldn't have to look sideways at them. My apologies.

Just a kindly tip: it's not a crest, but a coat of arms. The crest would be the Pelican at the top. By the way, do you have a grant for these arms or did you purchase them somewhere? The reason I am inquiring is because I saw a very similar blazon in the The General Armory of England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales, Comprising a Registry of Armorial Bearings from the Earliest to the Present Time, VOLUME 3 ONLY:

Coats of arms are only granted to individuals in Scotland and England, not to everyone bearing the same surname. In fact, bearing the arms of someone else is illegal in Scotland.

    Coat of arms

My father gave me the coat of arms. He had ordered it somewhere, years ago. In doing my geneology, I found my family to have come from Berwichshire, Scotland. I don't much care about it being "illegal" somewhere. It isn't here.
