This was the tartan that my Scout Troop used in the sixties. Can anybody identify it?

It's what's often called a 'fashion check' as opposed to a tartan. Technically there's no difference beyond the fact that the former the latter generally has some connection to/use by a clan, family, organisation, district association etc., rather than being a fancy pattern intended for general commercial use.

The white background and different warp and weft over-stripes (yellow and white in different directions) singles this out as a fashion check type pattern.
