Need reputable (Volvo?) shop in SFBay area
There's at least one forum member who cites old Volvos in his sig, so there's the kilt link.
Bob's younger daughter attends U of SF, lives in Daly City, drives a middle-aged Volvo that has some hiccups. We're looking for a reputable shop in her area that won't take advantage of a very bright, but not car-savvy, young woman.
Any references? Maybe best by PM, just to keep this thread from wandering.
TIA!

You're probably talking about me. Unfortunately, I'm in the Seattle area, but I would check the Brickboard forum (http://www.brickboard.com), and also do a google search on jalopnik. That's a site that seems to cater mainly to the SFBay area, and has quite a few Volvo owners on it. Someone there would be able to point you in the right direction.

Thanks, John, we've also been pointed to the Golden Gate chapter of volvo owner's club so have lots of investigating to do.

Sydnie,
Glad I could help. The link that wvpiper gave you is actually swedespeed.com. In any case, wish you luck with it.
If she ever finds her way up to Seattle, have her check with Europa Imported Service in Bellevue, WA. Decent shop. Not the greatest, but one of the best in the area. The other one I recommend is Apex Automotive in the Ballard neighborhood, which is the former Oddvar's Volvo Service.
