new to the USA
Hi folks!
I made it! I'm finally in Atlanta, having made the move from Australia. Some of you may have been wondering where that idiot Aussie disappeared to (and then again, many of you probably are saying "Hachiman? Who the heck is he?"),so now you know.
While I'm in the process of saying "hello again" (and since it's the off-topic forum), I'll also put the feelers out: If anyone knows of a job going in the Atlanta area (preferably downtown) that deals in the fields of customer service, helpdesk support, or the field of psychology, would you spare me a thought and drop me a line? This new-to-the-USA Aussie could use a job.
cheers

Welcome to the Continent. No specific job leads, but look at all of the local social services and residential facilities for Psych. job leads. I don't know your credentials but non masters/Ph.D. psych jobs are not very common.

It's probably not what you're looking for but every Irishman and Australian I know has been able to get a job at a British/Irish/Australian themed bar (and there are australian themed bars, in case anyone's wondering. I even found one in Stockholm serving Coopers) Bartending is kinda like customer service...sorta...
Good luck on the job hunt!

Hey, Hachiman, I want to echo what CavScout wrote. Bring your bride and come to Conyers for our annual (well, it's the second time in two years, so it's annual now) Burns Supper. We always give an award to the person who just moved to the US most recently. (OK, that was a weak attempt to tempt you over, but we'll think of something like a free Guinness if you can make it. . . .or a Fosters.)
And welcome to the Atlanta area. Hope you find the place hospitable and lucrative.

Welcome to the USA and the heart of Dixie. If you can play quarterback, the Falcons are looking for a replacement for Michael Vick
