Nice little article on Edinburgh Castle

I'm sure there will be members who will either correct content or nit-pick, but I rather liked this overview.

I am no expert on the finer points of Edinburgh Castle, but the article seems fair enough to me.

It seems ok the myths and legends are just that, no proof of anything unless the archeologists find something. It's always been a good defendable site.
Nice pictures of my dad's old offices..

When I did the tour a while back I recall they said that Robert the Bruce ordered the castle to be destroyed so the English could not take it. I believe it was razed to the ground and rebuilt subsequently.

I always enjoyed being in the castle when it was closed to the public, gives it a totally different ambience without tourists clamouring about.
