One of the 5210 X Mark rabble
When I have an idea I seem to obsess. An example, is I just did my best Evelyn Wood speed reading course test and looked at the birthdates of all the members that are listed. I noted two odd features. There are only 14 members that share my birthday but there is an incredible number of you (you know who you are) that are born on May Day. May 1st holds a fondness from my youth as I wove many a ribbon" 'round yon May pole" and it is my Wedding anniversary. Doing the math, it seems our parents had some extra time on their hands waiting to "reap the Harvest." I'm not sure that this is Kilt related topic as much as a curious way to spend an evening.

Many of these cases of identical birthdays or birthdays which fall on the 1st of a month may come as a result in a change to our software. This change required our members to list, at a minimum a day and month of their birthday into their profile.
This was for most cases not noticeable by the membership. There was no penalty or notification of the change. It did not affect anything other than an internal message automatically generated by our software on a member's birthday.
Over the past three years I have been going through the entire membership list weeding out the drop-box spammers and the sleeper spammers. Whenever I found a member who had no birthday listed I simply entered the first day of the current month.
This helped to lessen the workload on my emails which generated an error message each month of all those with no birthday listed.

If I'm not learning something new I'm usually asleep. Thanks for the reply Steve. I'm still fond of May Day regardless.
