One for our train enthusiasts
Strikes me as one of those "answers to a question nobody asked" but fun to watch!

The Listowel and Ballybunion was definitely a quirky railway, even by Irish standards.
The original line closed as long ago as 1924 but a full-size working replica has been constructed:-

Thanks for the link, Alex, the additional info is quite interesting. Good to see something "quirky" celebrated!

Certainly something different, if a bit wobbly looking!
Pity the new version is diesel rather than steam.

The wobblies make it look like something on a Disneyland ride! Of course Disney "wobbles" are carefully controlled and designed in, while these. . . well. Maybe not so much?

That is quite different, thanks for sharing. I also appreciate the additional background information. I have to say I like the usage of the draw bridge as a road crossing as well.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

good gods, giving monorails a bad name for +100yrs!
What a strange tank engine. The less said about the "line" the better. Call me a curmudgeon, but I believe steam engines should run on TWO rails, ideally as close to 'plane' as possible. (The Fat Controller told me so)
