Ottawa in a day

It looks like I will be in Ottawa next Saturday night until lunchtime on Monday. I have never been to the city and will be tied up with work most of the time, but does anyone (particularly you SOKS guys) have any tips on what I should see on Sunday afternoon.

I am staying near Parliament Hill so will walk around there a bit (despite the predicted cold snap). It's not cold enough for the canal to be frozen and the War time museum or National Gallery are likely too much with too little time.

Any suggestions?

The Highlander pub is located in the Byward Market. It has a great haggis. If you go kilted they give you a complimentary dram. Their Scotch menu is around 15 pages long if memory serves.

There are many cool shops in the market and on Sparks St. It's a very pedestrian friendly city.

I don't think I will be taking a kilt along as it is only a 2 day trip. I will need a suit as I am there for meetings with clients. Next time I'll try the haggis.
