I had to check the King Charles connection - Prince Rupert's mother was the daughter of James VI & I making him Charles I's nephew.

Jack... My twin brother and his wife have 3 and plan to have their bitch bred. They are cute affectionate and intelligent companions.

A friend of mine has one. Great dog, although very pampered by the family. They named him "Oliver" (bit of reenactor humor there).

Thanks all. Yes, this little dog is quite an affectionate creature and has won me over. I see how they make great therapy dogs.

We're looking for a new house with a bigger backyard so that I can also get a GSD. It may be more of a challenge to find one bred without the flying trot, which I do NOT like.
