Personal Message (PM) problems.
Apparently some of you are having trouble sending me PMs and after Steve has looked into the problem it seems that the problem is with my computer. Sorry about that. I will get someone who knows about these things to investigate ASAP. Rest assured, I am on the case.

Indeed! I tried to let you know I'll be researching loyal Scots of the Forty-Five this April.

Jock,
I have just sent you a copy of the error messages that I am getting via PM. If you print off a copy of this it should help your people narrow down the problem.

Well well, for some reason I have 27 PMs, etc., waiting for me on my computer this morning and I have done absolutely nothing, apart from aiming the odd profanity at the machine, at all! I am still where I was, no techno-wiz to hand, so I am up and running again? Well, until the next time anyway. As far as I can see i have not missed any important PM's, but if I have, then please let me know and I will attend to them. Sorry for the inconvenience to those wanting to contact me.

Well, should it recur, try those odd profanities earlier.
Sorry you had that difficulty. Were I technically more capable, I'd have other suggestions perhaps.

It could be that your old computer understands that if it did not "straighten up and fly right" it was headed for the waste bin.
