Posting help, please!
I'm not sure if this is the right place for these questions, but the moderators may move it if they wish.
I am just horrible at computers and need to know:
a) How I can highlight just a phrase or sentence from another poster in my reply, and not just the entire post, which sometimes takes up unnecessary space
b) How to highlight posts from two or more posters in my reply.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

That's pretty much it. Hit Quote, then cut what you don't want posted, but make sure you don't delete the Quote tags.
For multiple quotes, hit quote for your original, then hit quote again for others that you want. Paste them in your original reply and move things where you want them. It's a bit of work, but pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

Good question! I've never figured this out before.

Thank you! There is a multi-quote button too, which I've now figured out how to use. It only took me six years - sheesh!

The multi-quote function is much easier. It's the little " symbol next to the quote button. Just hit it for each person you want to quote, then go to the bottom and hit "post reply". Those quotes will all be there, and you can edit them as needed.
As for just quoting part of a person's reply, you can do exactly what you said, which is to quote their entire post and then edit out what you don't need. Or, you can just highlight the text you want to quote with your mouse (from their original post) and hit CTRL-C. Then go down to the quick-reply area and type in the quote tag, hit CTRL-V to paste it in there, and close the quote tag. I do this out of habit, as it keeps my momentum in typing, without having to go highlight stuff and delete it.

If you type "=username" after the "[quote" and before the "]" end bracket, you can also attribute their quote, particularly if you're doing this in the Quick-Reply box.

Thanks, everybody, for helping me figure this out. Sheesh! My computer skills are sorely lacking, and my new iPhone downright scares me!

Well that's just neat as all get out! Most times when I reply to something, I haven't logged in yet so I've never noticed that feature until just now. Thanks
