Proper, Pretty, Panache (in Pleather Pants)
Ok, first, I have to admit, they're real leather, not Pleather, but in honor of Retro Red, I must alliterate (is that the proper active form of the word?). Just for those who want to be exceptionally witty-note that parentheses also start with "P".
A few of you have seen my darling husband wearing pants, but many of you have not been so "lucky".

Ok, so the pants aren't showing there. Let's try again.
But a little background first.
At the beginning of his dance career, Jamie was dragged along to a Country Western dance class by his little sister a few decades ago. The result has been a lifelong love of dance, starting with Country Western line-dancing and culminating in Scottish Country Dance.
It's also how we ended up married, but that's another story, for another time.
Every year, we're invited to our friends' church fund raiser. The theme varies, but this year it was Country Western Barbeque.
Given that cowboy boots and kilts are a definite fashion faux pas (as Colin well knows)...No kilts were worn in these pictures...
Here are the leather pants (with John Wayne):

I also have leather pants, and I (also) am partial to John Wayne:

"Pleat shot" (Dancing with his best friend's sister-in-law):

Doing a little line-dancing ("Romeo, oh Romeo..."):

We do so enjoy shocking the churchgoers!

Be well,

Yeah, I was gonna say "Garth Brooks called from 1990, he wants his shirt back"

I swear, I didn't look at the pictures!
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Well, Star has the long flowing locks and Jamie has the shapely firm buttocks - Grant might be worried, except he's still got the whole package.
Next time I come out your way for the Stompede, y'all will have to join me at the hoedown - it would be really hard to shock anyone there. The next one is coming up October 17. You make me wish I'd planned to attend this year, but I have other travel plans this October.
Regards,
Rex.

I was not far from his hometown over Labor Day weekend, Winterset, Iowa, among "The Bridges of Madison County". The Iowa state tartan would certainly be appropriate.

I was trying to find a polite way of saying.....ummm.....
The truth of it is that the F-H.C.A.G. is, well, a goddess
after all! I don't think even Grant is in her league!
