This is way, wayyyyyy off topic, but I have a burning question.
Is it worthwhile to be in the Masons?
My Great Grandfather and Grandfather (And possibly a long way back) were Masons. Their brothers were, too. One of them offered my Dad an introduction, but he declined on the basis that he felt he just couldn't afford it. Two of my cousins are Masons.
I've heard so many stories about my great uncle Murray and how being a Mason totally enriched his life. How it helped him make great friends and get jobs and generally be happy.
So all of this has me wondering, is it worth talking to one of my cousins and asking if I can get a leg up?
I'll be honest, I know most of what I do about the Masons from vague mentions in history books. (No, not conspiracy theories.)
It seems to me to be a pretty friendly, honourable and worthwhile group of guys, but is it going to enrich my life if I make it in?
PM me and let me know what you think.
