RIP, E. Gary Gygax
I know there are more than a few geeks on this board, so I thought I'd mention that E. Gary Gygax, one of the fathers of Dungeons and Dragons, and by extension, all modern role playing games, died at the age of seventy.
I never met him, but I owe the man a tremendous debt of gratitude. So long, Gary.

Wow, what a legacy. I never have been into D&D but have definitely had fun with other RPG's in my lifetime. It is truly something to be an innovator.

WOW, that names brings back many, many memories. I remember meeting him more years ago than I care to remember at one of the Origins gamers conferences. Well before TSR bought the game system.
He had a wicked sense of humor and was a fun guy to be around. He will be missed.
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Wow.
High school would have been horrible for me if I hadn't been able to escape into Hockey and Role playing games.
R.I.P.

Wow, what a blast from the past. I remember playing D&D as a kid in the early 80s and thinking what a weird name Gary Gygax was. RIP Gary. I'll roll some twenty sided ice dice for you this evening.

Requiscat in Pace.
I've never been into D&D but I am into Warcraft. May he and his family be at peace.

I have been into rpgs for longer than I care to remember, and have spent more time than I dare calculate playing D&D and others, so I was very sad to hear of his passing. Luckily, I know that his legacy will live on in this geek for (hopefully) generations to come. Yes, I plan on having kilt-wearing, dice-rolling children.
