Saltire in St. Louis...
Alas, "the best laid schemes o' mice an' men gang aft-agley", and my camera went "aft-agley" with a number of photos I took of the Saltire's visit to Southwest Missouri. Here are three shots from the "stag" Burns Night I attend in St. Louis every year.
Your humble correspondent and the wee airship enjoy an evening of the works of Burns and some of the Macallan 12 years:

My best friend and fellow Burnsian M.C.O. with the Saltire:

And finally, the Saltire salutes the Immortal Memory of Robert Burns:

The wee ship will soon be on its way to its next destination...
Aw'ra best,
Todd

Three Burns Night Suppers in one year!
Not bad at all.
Thanks for taking care of her and speeding onward.
Cheers

Hopefully it'll pop up in the South sometime.

Great pics, good to see the wee saltire continuing to travel around.
Reference the middle pic, I almost asked if McMurdo enjoyed his visit to St. Louis, but no, McMurdo is minus his facial hair at the moment, so one must assume your friend in the pic is not McMurdo but a lookalike.

Alex,
I hadn't made that comparison before; normally when Mark wears his kilt and formal rig with a full beard and mustache, he looks just like George V and/or "cousin Nicky" (Nicholas II).

I already have a Doppelgänger, I am a twin, and have been told I look like a few other people. Though I do not see the resemblance here, Mark seems to look taller than I, then again I've been referred to as a hobbit before so that's not saying much.

Where is the good ship off to next? I'd like to get her to Memphis for Graceland, Beale Street, et al.
