    Scottish Castles for Sale

I was just surfing around hunting up stories about William Wallace and came upon this site http://hubpages.com/hub/Castles-for-Sale-Scotland

Scrolling down there are two properties that are very interesting: the Midmar Castle and the Westhall Castle. If I had a four or five millions of gold doubloons, why I'd...

It's a lottery fantasy, but Midmar seems like it would be fun. If you were rich - and young. *The old man nods out*

    That was fun.
I like the one "Fixer upper" that the inside entrance way shot had an old coat rack and a stags head laying on the floor next to it. made me feel like with a little elbow grease I could make it beautiful again.

Fixer-upper? No thanks...I have one of those already. It's a lot smaller and still more work than I can keep up with. On the other hand I would bet the resale value would be higher than my place!

I'm kind of surprised that some of these are labeled castles. A castle should be built for defense, with walls and a keep at the very least. Some of these are nothing more than stone manor houses, by the looks of them.

Fordyce castle has a nice look to it, except that it appears to be right on the roadway. I must admit, though, buying the title of baron is tempting!
