I recently acquired a smali kilt pin made in Scotland that has a "D" and a "B" stamped on the back. I'm not sure the pin is silver but the marks have me interested. Anyone have any thoughts about this?
Generally speaking there will be at least 3 marks The maker/sponser mark the year letter the assay office if you can post a picture of it, I;m sure one of us can help you identify it!
Here is a website I use (thanks to my sister): http://www.925-1000.com/british_marks.html I have one saved as a bookmark on back up disk I will try to dig up too. Good luck on your hunt, Sara
