September 11
I would just like to express my deepest, heartfelt thanks to the veterans and current members of America's armed forces, and also to our brave firefighters and police officers.
I also wish to extend my sympathies to any and all who lost a friend or relative on Septembet 11, 2001.
May those who perished on that fateful day rest in peace. May their memory be eternal.
May God be with you all.

I agree. The armed forces, peace officers, fire fighters and emergency response personnel put their lives on the line every day to protect our way of life. They have my respect and admiration.
My family will be setting aside a silent, one hour candle-light sitting this evening for those who were lost during the 9/11 tragedy.

Yes indeed, a day for reflection.
I remember the powerful emotions that hit me when I visited the spot in 2005.

9/11
My heart felt thanks to the brave souls who ran in when others ran out.....my memories of that day still are with me. I am over the shock and that sick feeling in the pit of my stomache, but the cold rage those sights kindled still remains and will do so untill ALL responsible have paid and paid in full

In honor and memory of the day,
I am wearing my American Bicentennial kilt, a black shirt, and black hose with red flashes (for the innocent blood shed).

Very well put. And my thoughts and prayers go out to all those men, women, children and families that were affiliated at all with the disaster. Especially to all those FireFighters and Police Officers that had a choice to run into those buildings and still did it anyways.

Let's also try and remember how everyone came together to help their fellow man (and woman) that day. For a short period of time race, religion, lifestyle, political choice, nationality, clothing choice came second to the fact that our fellow global citizens needed help. From the emergency response professionals and citizens that came to the aide of others at the sites of the attacks, to the friends and families that comforted each other in far away cities and countries waiting to hear news of a loved one's fate, to people that opened their homes to travellers stranded far from home due to the airport closures, and to the people that sat in shared awe of the shocking events that effected us all.
Let's remember that humanity's worst examples brought out humanity's best examples and that even in fear, shock, and sadness that people stuck together and made sure the person beside them was also ok.

Good idea!
I don't have that tartan, but I think the USMC tartan with the same assessories will suffice.
