So long, Éire...
So I head back to Wisconsin this Sunday. It's been a long and interesting semester, one that I will never forget (as if I remembered any of it! ), and I sure will miss this place....
...but not after partying like an Irishman for the rest of the week! int:
Seriously, it was great to meet some of you guys while I was over here. I got to go to Scotland three times and I traveled all over the Irish island. I made good friends, learned a lot, and had a lot of fun. Sure, I got homesick, and there were a few things back home I wish I was there for, but this was an experience I wouldn't trade for THE WORLD. To put in terms you guys might understand, this semester in Galway was the equivalent of an endless shopping spree at the Scottish Tartans Museum. Yeah, it was that awesome. So back to the good 'ol US of A. I hope the Chicago rabble is ready for a kilt night!
Here, I got you this pint to celebrate:

Slán go fóill, mo Éire.

I sincerely hope you enjoyed your stay. I'm quite jealous. I was only over there for four days, and didn't get very far outside of Dublin, but it was a trip I'll never forget. It has changed me. I feel I am a better person, a more complete person, as a result of my time in England, Ireland, and Scotland.
I hope you never forget your travels, and I hope you maintain those friendships, and I hope you learned something (you did go to study, right?)
Travel safe.

Safe travels and it's great that you've gotten so many wonderful memories for your life! You've certainly gotten a great gift in being able to share with others so far from your home and see a different slice of life.

It sounds like every day was an adventure. That's how the time of your life should be. Thanks for all your stories and photos of your trip. There are a lot of jealous people over here who are glad you went and happy you're coming home.
Safe journey.

You are a lucky fellow to have had the ex[erience. At your young age you have gained memories to last for a long time. May you have many more such adventures.
