I suppose it would be hard to dispute... Although the commute would have been terrible for an ordinary mortal, considering working for King Author required being in England.

Who said he was an ordinary mortal? Time space has little to do with the where and when of things when you understand the why. Grok? ith:

Glasgow didn't even exist in Merlin's time!
They are really pushing their luck with this one!

I don't know. Stranger things have happened in Glesga.... Seriously though, I have heard it said that King Arthur actually lived in the Dumbarton area, so not that big a commute. And did you know that Old King Cole was actually from Ayrshire. All the best ones are Scottish.

The Welsh pedigree of Merlin cannot be denied.
Carmarthen is Caerfyrddin in Welsh (Merlin's Castle) and has a stronger and much more historical claim to him.

But the Crystal Cave runs from Glasgow to just under the Millennium Eye, and the draft would have pulled him along.
