    Some BAD Weather, February 29

Sounds like they took a major hit through Kansas, Missouri, Southern Illinois and such.

Hope our forum members and their near and dear are okay...

We're all good here in kansas. F2 hit Harveyville, KS just 8 miles west of us. At least 4 city blocks destroyed or damaged. Several friends lost equipment or sheds and windows in their houses but thankfully no one was killed. The tornado was on the ground for 5 miles and not more than a few seconds and was 150 yards wide.

All that really changed for me here in Southern Wisconsin was that the rain finally washed off my dirty winter grime off of my car

Thinking good thoughts for you folks in tornado alley.
I was wondering about our friends in Europe too with all the continued freezing cold.
And Denver...hey Nighthawk, how's it going there? Here your getting hammered with snow.
In Maine we are hours away from what will hopefully be our biggest snow of the year so far. Winter has been more like Spring this year. hopefully thats about to change!

I'm a wee late to the party on this one as I was all of 200 feet from the tornado that hit Harrisburg, IL on the 29th. While the whole thing lasted all of maybe 5 seconds (for my time with it) it sure does seem to last forever! I was very fortunate, minimal damage compared to what was up the street from me.

My Jeep after a 2X4 hit it.

My place after getting hit with a pine tree. The brick building behind my place is missing the entire roof which flew over my place!

My weather head and meter box were dislocated when the tree hit the power lines to the house.

My neighbors were not as fortunate as I...

The good news is, we are rebuilding!
