Starbucks girl vs. the stinging butterfly
OK,I have to say right off that I'm a troublemaker... but this last weekend was close to my masterpiece. Here's what happened---
My prettier, less hairy half and myself went to the Estes Park, Colorado Scandinavian Midsummer Festival this weekend. We got a bit hot, so we went to a Starbuck's to relax for a while in the air conditioning. We were sitting by the bathrooms, because that was the only table available, when a girl came in to start her shift. She went into the bathroom with a backpack and came out almost immediately after she went in, with no backpack this time. She said to me "Don't let anyone go in there!" and ran off. She came back with a cup and said "Thank you! There's a trapped butterfly in there that I want to save." Without missing a beat, I asked her "Is it the stinging variety?" Her face, so full of joy at rescuing a trapped butterfly, collapsed, and she asked "They sting?!?! I better go get a lid!" So she ran back to the counter and got a lid... Jackie and I sat there cracking up! I tried to call her back to tell that I was joking, but she ran off too fast and I was laughing too hard. So now, in Estes Park, the legend of the stinging butterfly has joined the ranks of the jackalope and bigfoot.

Funny!
It seems that people don't know what sarcasm is anymore... but sometimes it's funnier that way!

That is entirely too cruel..... And I love it... Sounds like something I would do.
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

As someone who has been stung by a butterfly, I fail to see the humor.
