    String is still around!

My dear xmarkers, I have missed you.

I've been insanely busy but I got called back to the fold a few days ago and I thought I would let you all know what I've been up to.

I'm still in college, but I am graduating in December with a BA in Anthropology. I spent my summer working on my honors thesis and helping take care of my great-grandmother who is 99. She is an adventure unto herself, she is mostly mobile but she needs someone there 24-7.

I spent some time struggling with health issues, but that has mostly been resolved now that I was able to get a diagnosis of Celiac disease, which means I can feel better, as long as I don't eat foods with gluten in it. It makes life interesting but the sacrifices are completely worth it. I have been seeing a very handsome geeky boy for over a year now and things are going very well.

I think that is the basics, so enough about me. How are you?

Welcome back. It's good to see you again.

I have a friend with Celiac...it's amazing how quickly you can regain your health when you're not eating food that is out to get your body! Health, education, romance...it sounds like you've got it all going on at once - congratulations!

Welcome back String.. You have been missed around here... Without you around, things have gotten a bit frayed!

That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
