    A Taste Of Home

Sniff... It's my last one! The wafer is as hard as nails as I have had it for a while. Just as well I am heading home 3 weeks today!!! Yey!!!

    :sux:

Anyone experienced the sugary delights of a Tunnock's Caramel Wafer? According to the wrapper they make 4,000,000 every week! That's a lot of sweet wafery chocolate goodness!

We all have our favorites...Snickers bars are my undoing.

Eat it now...they probably won't let it through airport security...some beagle will sniff it out!

Sadly, it's already gone to the great confectionery shop in my belly! I'm amazed I saved it as many months as I did!

Yes, I've had a few of those while we were honeymooning in Scotland.

    No, I haven't found a local supplier.

Yes, that's a good thing, as I've lost about 16 pounds in the time since we got back.

No, I haven't had any of my kilts retailored - yet.

Yes, I expect to have them retailored, as I'm supposed to end up six inches smaller around the gut by the time I've lost the 70 pounds total that I'm supposed to - by the end of February.

No, I don't want to know where I can buy Tunnock's Caramel Wafers anywhere in the United States. That would be bad.

I'm going to have to check the World Market Plus joint out in our suburbs...they seem to have a huge supply of imported (UK) candy.

Don't know, Caradoc, if they have stores in your area but it's worth a shot.

Never had the pleasure, though candy is perhaps my only vice (I don't drink or smoke.) I'm certain I would enjoy that thing greatly.

    No... it isn't.

19.2 lbs so far. Maybe in three months I'll buy ONE.

I've been busy making my homemade candy for Christmas. Tonight I should turn out about 14 lbs of Fudge. Half with nuts, half without. This weekend will be a variety of breads, cookies cinnamon candy and praline Carmel things I make that are dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with little sugar balls. The clock is ticking and I'm waaaay behind.

I've not tried Tunnock's Caramel Wafers, but they sound pretty good. Might have to get some and see if I can work out the recipe.

Well, if I find one, I'll send it to you and you can put it aside as "incentive".

I see those Tunnock bars all the time in supermarkets but unless they are on a BOGOF offer I usually resist temptation
