A Temporary Hello

Greetings from Barbados, fellow Kiltarians!

Well, so far so good, we have finally crossed the Atlantic and reached Barbados, and yes, I have been kilted all the way.

The kilt has garnered a lot of attention and I am quite surprised at just how widespread knowledge of the kilt has spread.

There is only one problem and that is that I have lost a lot of excess weight and none of my kilts fit properly now. I did have a parcel of xmarks tartan send to me, but due to the postal service it reached Malta after I had left and now it is on its way back to Steve!

Hopefully I will be able to catch up with it somewhere else on my travels as I really need to make some more PV kilts for the journey.

What timing! I was just thinking about you yesterday! I'd done a search (I can't remember what words I used, just one of my usual searches to find info in old threads), and it pulled up your farewell thread. I saw it and wondered how things were going and where you were these days.

I have had Internet access before now, but it has either been very slow or we did not really have the time to use it for personal stuff.

Right now there are now looming deadlines except one in about 5 weeks time when we need to be north of the Keys because of the hurricane season. We will be heading for Bermuda around then.

For now we are taking our time in the Carribbean.

I am fairly sure that we will be along the east coast some time, but when is another matter. I am only the Bosun, cook, shipwright. The decision about where we go is up to the skipper.

However, I will let you know as soon as I know myself.
