    Texas Explosion

I offer my prayers for those suffering from the effects of the explosion in Texas. May they and all like them receive the help and support they need.

My wife's family all live in that area (thankfully, not close enough to have been directly affected by the blast). It's pretty scary stuff, and my heart goes out to all those affected. I admit to being a bit amazed by the level of devastation it caused. I wonder how many people lived near that plant all these years, never knowing the potential danger of it. Wow.

We live about 70 miles away from the site of the explosion. Last night during church, the building shook hard enough to rattle the windows. We realized later it was the shock wave from the explosion.

Overwhelming is too small a word...

Our prayers to all those affected.

As I write, they are broadcasting the memorial service for all of the firefighters who died in the West tragedy. Very moving. The number of pipe and drum bands that are present is staggering and their performance was awe inspiring. If we have any members on here that participated, I want to thank you for taking time out to honor these fallen heroes.
