Thanks to Steve and to all
Gentlefolk: I have been participating in this forum for a bit over a year.
I would like to simply say "Thank you" to Steve Ashton for starting and managing the X-Marks-the-Scot forum (where to me X stands for "excellent"), and especially for his (and the moderators') efforts/ability to help us maintain a civil, useful, educational, and interesting dialog.
I would also like to thank all the participants for their knowledge, humor, advice, criticism, and especially ... pictures. I have learned a great deal on XMTS and have had a lot of fun contributing. There is no way I could have made the informed decisions I have about kilts and other Scottish attire without your help. I look forward to continued interaction with all of you.

Mookien, yes, they do a fantastic job here. I was worried the other day that one post I made might be construed as political after I posted it. I messaged the administators and Steve, and told them I would like them to look it over to let me know if I had broken the Xmarks rules. If so, I would remove the post or offer an explanation. I received several replies from the administrators, and their ruling was fair and honest. It is a tough job, and I appreciate their efforts.

Actually, Steve didn't start it, Hank did (AKA highlandtide).
But this forum is very well managed, I quite agree.

Eric: Thanks for correcting my erroneous history.
When I wrote that, I was thinking, "I have this vague recollection that someone else started the forum.", but I continued without compunction, because I knew that someone would correct me, if I was wrong. Ain't this a great blog!
