Oh, now that is funny! I wonder how it would look with a Royal Stewart tartan?
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

That's priceless, just found some Vans in a plaid. Thinking about getting them just to upset the wife.

I bought some for my husband at Payless shoes for $19.00. He loved them and wore them until they fell apart. He referred to them as his play shoes, but mostly wore them for working on garage type projects.

Shoemerology
We've heard of Numerology but there's a bit of Shoemerology concealed in that Tartan sneaker. The 'NB' at the heel tips off a reference to the Scottish peak Ben Nevis, where 'N' comes first since there are 2 Ns and just 1 B in Ben Nevis. Take the height of Ben Nevis in meters, 1344 and add the '576' on the tartan footwear and you get the sum of 1920, which turned out to be a good year for highland malts from the following event in Scottish history from the year 1920.
"1920 In December of this year, Scotland held a national referendum on prohibition
which was strongly rejected by voters. Historians point out that simply the fact
that the referendum was held demonstrates how powerful and widespread the temperance movement was worldwide at this point in history."
Beware when you post a shoe thread for you may step in it!
