A toast to the victims of the Oslo bombing and gunman attack

    Dear all,
Please light a candle and join me in a toast to the victims of the horrible Oslo bombing and gunman attack. As a result of one man's actions last Friday afternoon, we Norwegians have lost nearly 100 of our fellow countrymen - most of which still just in their teens attending a youth camp on an island outside Oslo.

    BBC report: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-14262956
    Lokal tabloid VG report: http://www.vg.no/nyheter/innenriks/o...artid=10080597

    Thank you!

I will raise a glass tonight in their honour. To all the victims and their families, I feel for you, you are in my thoughts.

As a Canadian I bet we are like most Norwegians. We think these kind of things always happen in "other" places not our homelands. However, the reach of evil is wide and does not discriminate.

It seems especially shocking that this could happen in the homeland of the Nobel Peace Prize and in a nation recognized around the world for their commitment to equality and justice.

Our thoughts and prayers to the victims, their families and the people of Norway. Don't let this ugly incident break your great spirit and passion for peace.

    Indeed...

It was with sadness and anger that I read the news of the horrible attack this morning. My thoughts and sympathies are with all of the families that have lost loved ones due to this senseless act of terror and violence.

It was terrible to hear about this. Since I cannot drink alcohol legaly yet, I shall still light a candle for your countrymen. I can't imagine losing friends and family in the same age group as me in such big numbers.

lets hope there will one day be true peace in the world

    This was an unforgivable act.
