LOL, I love the added touch of the stuffed animal. That was a neat idea to redue the picture from your childhood. Thanks for sharing!

OH!! OH!! A railroader!! I used to model Chessie System. And not the new boring color scheme- the old colorful one with the lil' kitty. I also chase trains.

This is what I took my daughter to see this summer:

It was funny. I was climbing on hills and trees to get the best shots I could, and I could hear people on board saying "There he is! There he is!" While I was taking pictures of the train, passengers were taking pictures of me!!

Here are a couple others I thought you might like. The first one is the Union Pacific 844, which is to my knowledge the largest running steam engine in the world. The second one is from the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad. My dad helped to restore it. I literally learned to walk riding it. My mom ran the first snack and souvenir car on it when it was opened for tourist service back in 1974. The second is from the Georgetown Loop in Georgetown, Colorado.

That Cumbres & Toltec line is a blast! Been on it half a dozen times, man and boy.

I won't say "where's the kilt Alex?" as you were clearly trying to reproduce the earlier pose!

    Alex,

What marvelous fun and a reminder to never lose touch with the child that lives inside all of us.

That child has a sense of wonder, joy, and capacity for happiness that we adults need.

    Cheers

I actually thought the same thing, but since he was recreating the photo, I let it slide.
