Visiting in Scotland - Gifts
So in a few days we are leaving for Scotland. During the trip we are meeting and staying for a few days in Glasgow with my wife's Aunt and Uncle who we have never met in person but have had contact with over the phone for several years. My mom-in-law knew him 50 years ago when she married into the family and has met with him several years ago on her trip back home.
I am curious as to any ideas as to what might be an appropriate gift or token of thanks to bring with us. They are in their 80's if this helps at all. My mom-in-law had mentioned a nice bottle of scotch of course and had mentioned that some are available here that aren't readily available there, which I found odd. What bottles might I find locally that can't be had readily in the land they are produced? What other items might be appropriate and most appreciated?
P.S. Does anybody know if they have Ginger Ale in Scotland ? I know it won't be Canada Dry but......
