In all seriousness, I do hope things get better for you and your work situation. We spend too much time there for it to be a miserable experience.

In deathly seriousness, self-employment is the WORST situation for all of the above, because there is no procurement dept, accounts payable/billable, so shipping dept, etc, just you. So YOU get to deal with EVERYONE out in the wide (not-so-smart) world.

Whatever your current situation, here's hoping it improves.

i hear your pain Brother i work with the public and wile the vast magority of people are grea.t there is always that one or two every day that still the joy out of life.
i don't know if your sereasly asking for advice but all say this. there is always going to be some A hole that is going to come in to reak as much havoc as they can so the better option if finding a new job isn't going to be possible is to try and change the way you think about it. don't let them get to you! i know easier said then done but its a start. we spend 1/3 of are lives in thees places so its a good idea. i dont know about your Co but mine has a counseling service for just this kind of stress if so then i would defiantly talk to some one if you are really that bummed out its only your health we are talking about!

I completely empathize and deal with many of these same issues with co-workers and clients as well. But employing the glass 1/2 full idea, I also realize that today is pay day. I look at the bills due and property taxes coming up soon and realize if I didn't have a check I'd be screwed. Then I open the paper and see elderly people getting kicked out of their homes because Section 8 vouchers have a max ceiling by law and a property owner says not good enough, I want more. Suddenly the voices of complaint in my head have grown quieter.

I'm working on a government project to close over a 100 sites - those in the UK can possibly guess what I'm talking about.

WHY HAVEN'T YOU GIVEN ME THE DATA ON THE OUTSTANDING ASSETS - I haven't processed all the data yet...

WHY ARE THESE ASSETS SHOWING AS 'QUERY' - Coz some cretin submitted data after the data I'd submitetd to say the device is now recycled as 100 pieces of cutlery, a toy car and 2 dozen key rings as they couldn't find it at site when the records said it wasn't at that site in the first bloody place...



WHY HASN'T THAT SITE BEEN SIGNED OFF - Coz no-one told me the data had been hidden in a file I didn't know about...

And we're not allowed to bring a bottle of hard spirit in to the office...

Tell me about it! My boss is a total jerk who made me work over the weekend, even though I was sick. I didn't get any overtime or even a comp'ed lunch out of the deal... stupid boss. oh, wait...
