Well, it was time for a new family member...
... So we are introducing Cody. He is a miniature Australian shepherd.
Diane and I adopted him from a family who just couldn't give him the attention he deserved and wanted him to be with some people who could.
I still miss Pip so very much but the family he is with are taking very good care of him and I started feeling ready for a new dog.
Cody is 10 months old and a very sweet and loving Omega dog, but he's got a lot of training to go through once he's used to us and not so over-stimulated by the new surroundings.
Anyway, here he is.

And here he is trying to make friends with Earl. So far he has no issue with the cats other than wanting to be friends with them and they are fine with him so long as he isn't too near them.
They'll get alone given time.

Congratulations.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

You look in that dog's eyes, and you know the lights are on and everyone's home.
Good on ya!
Why, a child of five could understand this. Quick -- someone fetch me a child of five!
