What is the answer to life, the universe, and everything
In another thread we learned that the answer to life, the universe, and everything is 42.
This has roots in Douglas Adams' series "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe."
I was discussing this earlier today with a friend about how google has a sense of humor. He agreed and said that he had heard that in one of the requests in google map (like maybe the directions from New York to Paris?) the answer comes back with complete directions, including a long swim.
I tried several entries in google map and could not reproduce this result.
Has anyone discovered the question, in google map, that comes back with swimming instructions, or some such?

At any moment you must be prepared to give up who you are today for who you could become tomorrow.

I guess they may have fixed that easter egg because it was causing unnecessary traffic. Or, possibly to prevent themselves from being liable if someone actually tried it. Here's an archive

Yes, I'd once did it it did give distance for swimming. I guess it doesn't do it now.

read Scottish history as related by firstfoot.com.
There's some strong language, but it's Glasgow influenced. And it's more accurate than some.

I named my yacht FORTY TWO when I bought it, as it was my answer to life, the universe and everything. Here's a link to the section of Douglas Adams' book when the question was first answered.

In Google maps ask for driving directions from anywhere in the US to somewhere in the British Isles.
Then get ready to chuckle.
