    What do they mean?

Is there a thread with all the anocronyms listed?

I've searched but haven't found. Perhaps the wrong search parameters or perhaps because it's late and the ale has been flowing?

    Thanks

Thank you good sir. That is exactly what I was looking for. I believe that the high quality of the ale consumed inhibited me from properly searching!

If there's an abbreviation that you're seeing that isn't on that page, I'm sure that you could post it here and people would tell you what it means. Or perhaps the Mods would add it to the FAQ list.

I agree, there's a lot of commonly used abbreviations ie "PV" that aren't on that list. The acronyms for the mills, ie "HOE" aren't listed either. We should develop an addendum.

The real problem is when people make up their own abbreviations and then expect everyone to know exactly what they are saying. I have seen gf used here to be girl friend, grandfather and Good Friday. I might as well say that M has just gone to bed and I am sat at the drt and composing this on my lt and that I use mz, because I don't like ie.

Oh, and while I am in rant mode - does anybody not have spell check?

    Regards

    Chas
