What kiltie does not like a good story, well acted?

Yes, this is way off topic but as many of our members are around my age I thought I would share.

The "Longmire" novels by Craig Johnston have been very entertaining and I have passed more than one night curled up with these stories.

Four years ago the Arts & Entertainment Network (A&E)announced that they would bring "Longmire" to the small screen.

And then, after 3 seasons A&E cancelled "Longmire". It seems that the stories and the characters were not in keeping with A&E's target audience of "20-somethings".

At the last minute Netflix announced that they would pick up "Longmire". The loyal fans are all over the net letting others know about this show much the same way as "FireFly/Serenity ".

If you have a Netflix account, and enjoy a good story, well acted, well directed, filmed in some very pretty country, then check out the premier of "Longmire" - Season 4 on Netflix tomorrow night. (10 Sept.)

Katee Sackhoff as Deputy 'Vic' Moretti

Adam Bartley as Deputy 'The Ferg' Ferguson

    Somebody pass the popcorn.

Longmire is (in part) filmed in and around Los Alamos and the Valles Caldera National Preserve, which is just west of us behind the ski area. My son loves the show and has strongly recommended it to me and my wife - maybe after we finish watching "The Gilmore Girls". They both are available via Netflix streaming.

The location managers of Longmire "rented" the house in Los Alamos of a friend of ours for some episode(s). I asked him how much they paid him, and he replied, "A LOT of money." I don't know why they didn't pick my house. It has an old, rusty car out front with chickens living in it. Very bucolic.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

I have wondered about it. Guess I better give it a shot. Thanks for the information.

Took the recommendation and watched a couple of episodes last night. Quite enjoyed it. Glad to have something worth watching in a universe of endless choice and no choice at all.
