Whats That White Stuff?
WOW! I've been working on a design and just noticed the ice age has arrived. An hour ago I went out to my truck, the ground was bare. Now there's a 1/2 inch of snow on my deck. Time to panic and join the crowd buying milk and bread!

Snow in GA, and its 11:00 at night based on your post? Pleeaase, it will melt before you wake up in the morning. And its a Sunday anyway! Now, if it were 8:00AM on a Monday, I could see the problem!
Seriously, I know that even 1/2" can shutdown the southern cities. We spent 6 years in Raleigh, which has 3 snowplows I believe, and which shuts down is there is more than a slight dusting. I loved watching people go out after a good storm (3-4") and driving 4 wheel drive vehicles. They never seemed to grasp the concept that 4 wheels spin as easily as 2, especially in ice and snow!

Around here the mere mention of snow is enough to cause mass panic. Personally,I'm glad to see it. Most of my work is done at home so it's not a problem.

Hmmmmmm...might not be the best time to tell you guys that up here in the "Great White North" we're experiencing a heat wave. Was about 14C today with similar temps expected tomorrow. Lots and lots of motorcycles out on the road.
Snow? What snow?

I wish you could send some of it up here. It's been dry as a bone this year.

Hehe, we have 1m (40") of snow and nobody has panicked yet. Last week we had -33C (-26F) temperatures... Still no panic. US Army would consider all our forces as "Special Forces" when maneuvering in weather like that. As I remember right for US Army one character of special force is "Capable for winter warfare"

Well I just took a peek outside here in NYC...it ain't gonna be pretty...I might have complained about being housebound last week after surgery but with about six to eight inches already on the ground I'm kinda glad I have to stay inside....

It's snowing in Crntral Virginia too. There's about two inches on the ground now and it is still falling heaviliy. I have one daughter who is attending weekend grad school classes in the DC area and who has to drive home this afternoon, and her sister is visiting us here in Amelia and has to drive back to Salem Va tommorow so she doesn't miss her college classes tomorrow. (About 160 miles) Both of them have jeeps though. However the youngest has never driven a straight stick and I have been trying to teach her this weekend.
