Xmarks tee shirt at The Frederick festival
I'd definitely like to thank Mr Bill for his efforts with the Xmarks tee shirts. I wore mine to the Frederick festival, and because of the shirt, I finally met some other Xmarks members. First, as soon as I entered the gate, I was approached by a big guy wearing a red shirt that said festival staff. I wondered what I'd done wrong. But then he commented on the shirt and introduced himself as David. A while later, I was with my wife at one of the vendors tents when someone else approached me and commented on the shirt before asking me about my forum name. That turned out to be Bydand ( I'm ashamed to say that as a member of the house of Gordon, Va division, I didn't think about his forum name being the Gordon clan motto until later). Anyhow we had a nice discussion about the forum and such. Bydand told me that he'd seen Glassman at the athetic field, so I told my wife I was going to wander up that way to look. I knew she wouldn't go far in the next 15 or so minutes, because it seems to me that she has to stop at each vendor's tent and check out every item he has for sale. Glassman wasn't at the field, so I went back to look for my wife. Sure enough, she had only progressed one tent further up the line. And, I finally saw Glassman sitting at the dancer's tent just across from where my wife was looking at tapestries. I went up and introduced myself. I met Glassman's grandmother and his partner also. It was an honor to shake the hand of one of our valient firefgighters who was injured at the pentagon on 9/11. We all owe a debt of gratitude to him and all of the other heroes of that terrible day in our history. All in all, I had a great time at the festival, and the Xmarks tee shirt was a big factor in that. I would advise everyone to order one if there is another run made. I know I'll order another one or two myself.
