Yay, a Snowstorm!
The Northeast is getting hammered today. We're on the very edge of the storm, but it's coming down hard and sticking. Guess I'll skip that Halloween party tonight, and look out the window with a nice whisky in hand....

Sorry about that Brian but just so you know, it is OK for you to keep it up there.

Nothing in Maine yet but they say 6"-10" by tomorrow.
When I was a kid in Alaska, we always had to trick or treat with heavy coats over our costumes. I hated that, no one could see what you were.
I hope it's gone by Monday.

Re: Yay, a Snowstorm!
Unfortunately we're getting slammed. A large limb broke and took out 2 sections of fence. While cutting it up I could hear limbs breaking around the neighborhood. Still more snow to come and high winds too with 400k people out of power so far.

Re: Yay, a Snowstorm!
Wow. That is sounding like a pretty bad storm. I hope there's not too much damage. And it is confusing that we - not too far north of you - are getting nothing. It was actually a really nice day here today. A little cool this evening (4C) but clear and pleasant.
I can only imagine was the driving must be like. Staying home with a wee dram sounds like a very good idea.

Re: Yay, a Snowstorm!
It was a beautiful snow. Great white flakes that look good on a kilt. (No... really)
Heavy to shovel. Harrisburg (PA) had about 8 hours of snow, and fortunately, already starting to melt. Don't drive tonight if you don't have to. It will re-freeze for sure.
