Anyone know Tartanic?
In my search for celtic/Highland music, I ran across this group on YouTube. The pipers are excellent and the drummers use beats from other cultures. ie Spanish, Arabian, etc. They have a really good sound. But I can't find their CDs. If you go to Tartanic.com it says they disbanded in '07. But Tartanic.net seems to imply that they are alive and kicking and putting out new music. Does anyone know where I can get their music? I know I can get it from their website, but I'm picky about who I give my credit card number to. I've tried Napster and iTunes and they're not on those. Even Rathkeltair and Barleyjuice are on Napster. Here's a link to one of their studio sets and Thunderdrums.

Let me know what you think of them.

Why yes, I know them pretty well. They are alive and kicking, and putting out plenty of music! Basically at this time Tartanic.net or their Myspace music page is gonna be your only source for their CDs, other than a live show, which is worth the trip!
As a side note, you might look up the band ' E Muzeki ' you may like some of their stuff.
Order of the Dandelion, The Houston Area Kilt Society, Bald Rabble in Kilts, Kilted Texas Rabble Rousers, The Flatcap Confederation, Kilted Playtron Group.

E Muzeki are awesome; they play at our local Fair and blew me away the first time I saw them.
Tartanic rocks. I'd love to be able to get them on iTunes. Same with Hunting McLeod, but no dice so far...

I saw Hunting MacLeod at the Frederick Celtic Festival last year. They were quite good, too bad. The festival also featured a band called Enter the Haggis. They were excellent as well.
As a side note, E Muzeki was the band (very good) at the wedding which brought me to this forum looking for a kilt at to purchase rather than rent (I was the best man). I ended up with a USA Kilts semi-traditional, and hooked on this forum.

As it happens I will be TDY in AZ and plan on attending the AZ Ren Fest. I saw their calendar and they will be there. Looks like I'll get my CDs in person after all. Kilted Rebel will be there with me. If you're there, look for the ACU Sportkilts.
I love Enter the Haggis too. I have several of their tunes from Napster! One Last Drink is awesome and Ride My Monster is just too funny (freaks my 16yo daughter out).

For the Midwest kilties, Tartanic will be one of the headliners at this summer's KC Highland Games.

Tartanic shows up at the Bristol Renaissance Faire in Wisconsin and the Chicago Highland Games. They're great! The singer is really funny.

E Muzeki is defunct, Z. Wine and Alchemy is the new incarnation, without the fiddler. Here:
