City of Victoria Pipe Band Reunion

The Grade 1 City of Victoria Pipe Band held a reunion commemorating its forming 40 years ago. They celebrated and performed at the Vancouver Island Pipers' Club on Saturday night. A member of our pipe band put together this video of portions of the performances:

It was a great event, and there was even some impromptu highland dancing as the evening wore on. My wife and I stayed 'til the end, of course! The highlight for me was Jack Lee performing his Glenfiddich-winning piobeareachd, a portion of which is in the video.

The Grade 1 City of Victoria Pipe Band led by PM Jamie Troy had a reunion at the Vancouver Island Pipers Club on Nov 3 2012. The deep talent pool of pipers and drummers includes JW and JP Troy, Jack and Terry Lee, Bruce Gandy and numerous others. A stirring medley in the relaxed atmosphere of the Officers mess of the Bay Street Armoury is followed by an excerpt of Jack Lee's recent Glenfiddich winning Piobeareachd and several tunes from Bruce Gandy.
A splendid little video David, thanks for sharing with us on xmarks. I especially enjoyed the close up shots of the solo piper which started around five minutes from the end and showed his nimble finger work. I wish I could have been there.
